Align First ("we," "us," or "our") built the Align First app. This page explains what information we collect through the App and through our website at alignfirst.app, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: Your name and email address when you sign in with Apple.
User-entered content: Goals, values, and answers you provide to personalize your experience.
Screen time data: App usage statistics used to calculate and track your earned time.
Usage analytics: Anonymized data about how you interact with the App, used to improve the product.
Subscription status: Whether you have an active subscription, managed via Apple and RevenueCat.

2. How We Use Your Information

To generate personalized affirmations and visualizations using AI
To track your earned screen time and session history
To manage your subscription and access to features
To improve the App through anonymized analytics

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content you enter in the App — your goals, answers, or affirmations — for advertising. Section 7 explains the separate, limited tracking we use on our website to measure our ads.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Supabase — data storage and authentication
RevenueCat — subscription management
Anthropic — AI generation of affirmations and visualizations (your goals and answers are sent to Anthropic's API; Anthropic does not use this data to train its models)
PostHog — anonymized usage analytics
Meta (Facebook) — advertising measurement on our website only; see Section 7

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account directly within the App at any time, which will remove your personal data from our servers immediately. If you request account deletion by email, we will process it within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@alignfirst.app.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.

7. Our Website and Advertising

Some pages on alignfirst.app are used as landing pages for ads we run. On those pages we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which places cookies in your browser and records that you viewed the page and whether you tapped a link to the App Store. That information is shared with Meta so we can measure how our ads perform and improve them.

If you enter your email address in a form on one of these pages, the Pixel also sends a scrambled version of it to Meta. The scrambling is one-way, so Meta never receives your address in readable form. It is used only to recognise that a visit and a sign-up came from the same person, which is what lets us tell whether an ad worked.

This tracking is limited to our website. It does not have access to anything inside the App, and it is not connected to your Align First account. We use it to measure advertising, not to build a profile of you.

Meta may also use this information to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can control that in your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences, and you can block or clear these cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not affect your use of the App.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
